ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation)
ISO is an independent and internationally recognised organisation that brings together experts to share knowledge and develop market relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. They give world class specifications for products, services and systems to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
There are many published standards and at C3C we focus on ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management and ISO 27001:2013 Information Security.
The standard sets out the criteria for a quality management system and can be used by organisations of any size. This standard is in use by over a million organisations across the world and is based on a number of quality management principles.
By using ISO 9001:2015, organisations ensure that their customers get consistent, good quality products and services which in turn bring many other business benefits.
The standard provides the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that will help your organisation manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to you by third parties. The ISMS is a systematic approach to managing sensitive company information so that it remains secure. It includes people, processes and IT systems by applying a risk management process. It can help businesses of all sizes, in any sector to keep their information assets secure.
